Manchester based agency SkyParlour, the first PR consultancy to be truly dedicated to the payments, ecommerce and mcommerce sectors, is celebrating after recently being shortlisted for Specialist Consultancy of the Year at the prestigious PRCA Awards. It represents a momentous milestone in their successes after rapidly growing since their creation in 2009.
Significantly SkyParlour was the only agency based outside of the South East to be nominated in its category. The nomination criteria stipulated that entrants demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality results with excellent service to clients and also prove that they closely delivered on objectives to a panel of industry experts.
Co-founder Angela Yore commented: ?As a young agency we have been incredibly successful despite increasingly common cuts to marketing budgets in recent years. This is because our people are as much aligned to the issues if our sector as they are to the PR industry, making us more valuable to our clients. We find that whilst we offer an exceptional PR service much of our time is also spent advising clients on their business communication strategies, messaging and positioning to assist them to meet their business objectives. Hitting the three year milestone financially on target and our recent nomination for the PRCA award has really underlined our achievement. On the 18th October we are very proud to be hosting a celebratory event at Browns Courtrooms in Covent Garden for our clients, supporters and friends from within the payments industry.?
Over three years SkyParlour has managed public relations for large organisations based across the globe including New Zealand, America, South Africa and France, overseeing numerous campaigns in both the trade and national press. Recent successes include the Retail Fraud Study which achieved coverage on Sky News and the launch of Spire Payments, and its products, to the industry media at The Savoy Hotel.
Fellow co-founder Kimberley Waldron commented: ?Early on we spotted a need for a PR and communications consultancy that was dedicated to the Payments and online commerce sector. Despite the current recession SkyParlour has gone from strength to strength in a highly competitive industry. This can be attributed to our unique understanding and knowledge of the industry we serve. Coupled with our dedication to our chosen sector, we provide our clients with a premier professional service that we are proud of. We are delighted to be hosting this event for our clients and contacts to thank them for their support in the last 3 years.?
North West businessman and Managing Director of SkyParlour client Phoenix Managed Networks Alan Stephenson-Brown said: ?In my career I have been instrumental in seeing many businesses make it but not for many years have I been so excited about as business as I am about SkyParlour, the results they deliver and the ambition of its management team.?
