Hi.
Well goodbye if you are not into realistic settings.
If you are, then good.
Let's continue this conversation.
*offers a drink* No?
Okay! Well are you sure you are passionate enough to make a realistic themed story work?
Good!
I'm actually looking for just 3 people, since I'm going to fill up one spot already.
My idea may sound cliche but I'm actually targeting something that could be serious.
The story is basically simple and ordinary but requires patience and dedication.
The story.
2 girls who exists with different lives happens to spend one summer together. Girl 1 was 1/2 of the twin children of a successful couple. He had Boy 1 as her twin and the two were fortunate enough to be born in a prominent family. The summer before their first year in high school, their parents have decided to buy a summer house by a secluded beach area. And being a family that requires a lot of helpers, the couple have decided to bring one house helper but soon found out that one simply could not do. So they hired a local. The local woman was actually the mother of Girl 2, they've lived a simple life by the small town all their lives. Her biological father had abandoned her mother when she was just 5 months in the womb. Her mother had to fend for her own and was somehow successful by leading a simple life.
That is when the two girls met, awkward silence at first but the two soon got along very well. They would spend nights camping under the stars and roasting marshmallows. Discovering hidden paths and swimming in the cold spring, collecting sea shells and sealing a message in a bottle on the their last night together. Every one thought it was adorable of the two girls to find friendship over the summer- everyone except Mother 1. She always thought that girl 2 and her mother were taking advantage of their "kindness" so every time she would see Girl 2, she'd sneer. But Girl 1 and Boy 2 did their best to protect and defend Girl 2.
Soon summer was ending, girl 1 had to go back to her usual life and begin her high school life while girl 2 remains at her little town's public school but the two of them promised to keep in touch through e-mails and occasional phone calls.
Soon the girls were exchanging letters every week, talk over the phone during special days like birthday or Christmas until the next summer arrived. The two were back in each other's arms and spent gushing about their crushes and experiences.
It was a cycle for 2 more years and on the summer after their graduation, Girl 2 found herself falling for Boy 1. But she kept it to herself, she didn't want her best friend to know about her hidden feelings for it might ruin their friendship. That summer, Girl 1 also revealed her plans of studying abroad. Leaving both of them sad but happy about her decision to venture the world on her own. It was also the summer where Boy 1 had given Girl 2 her first kiss.
The day for Girl 1 to finally board her plane to another country came, they hugged each other tightly and cried like little girls.
As they once again exchanged emails and phone calls, Girl 2 was given an opportunity by Girl 1 and Boy 2's parents to work for their father as an executive assistant. Everyone was okay with the arrangement and thought that it would be a big help for Girl 2- again, everyone except for Mother 1.
There, girl 2 and boy 1 became closer without anyone knowing. They started falling for each other but kept the secret since Mother 1 was totally against Girl 2.
After more than a year, Girl 1 surprised everyone by suddenly spending her vacation with her family. She has changed a lot, she looked more inhibited and liberated. Very far from her Daddy's little princess look. She also brought along her latest boyfriend. A guy who was a local from the place of the country she studies at and claims that he was the one who found the message in the bottle that Girl 1 and Girl 2 had released in the ocean during their 1st Summer together.
And with this vacation a lot was revealed when they go back to the Summer House.
-Girl 1, Boy 1 and Mother 1 finds out that their father/husband is having an affair with Mother 2.
-Boy 1 and Girl 2's relationship would be known by Mother 1 and goes ballistic
-Girl 2 finds out that Girl 1 is struggling with an issue (maybe drugs, health, etc)
-Boy 2 had been lying about "finding the message" in a bottle but is serious with his feelings with Girl 1.
-Girl 1 starts to hate Girl 2 because of Mother 2's affair with her father.
-Girl 2 finds a new friendship with Boy 2, which makes Girl 1 and Boy 1 jealous.
- etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note:
This RP would gradually grow from their first summer until it reaches the "present" time. So we're going to pretend that they met each other during 2004.
Characters that would need to be filled up:
Boy 1- he would be like a boy next door kind of guy. Smart, funny and is serious into becoming like his father whom he idolizes so much. (Face Claim suggestion:Matt Dallas)
Girl 2- She's shy and nice. exact opposite of Girl 1. Patient and understanding. Really really pretty girl. (Face Claim suggestion: Ruslana Korshunova)
Boy 2- He's a local from where Girl 1 studies. He accidentally read Girl 1's diary and found the part about the Message in a Bottle. He used it to make her fall for her. He was supposed to admit the truth but soon got afraid that he will lose Girl 1 if he did. He's sort of a bad boy, nomad type of guy who loves to travel and lives a care free life. He is exactly who Girl 1 wants to be- free. He's handsome as well ;p (Face Claim suggestion:Steven Strait)
So generally I'm taking Girl 1- unless you can prove that you can do her justice then I'm taking Girl 2 (Alexandra Daddario)
~~~~~~~
If you want to make this work, PM Me! If you have other suggestions or comments- tell me and I'll discuss it with you!
Thanks for your time and I truly appreciate it.

When using Linux, or just about any open source operating system out there for that matter, there's a proverbial Santa's knapsack of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) available. When you boil this topic down on the basic level, you've got two choices: Use a fully featured Desktop Environment (DE) with tons of bells and whistles, or alternatively you can use a slimmed-down and streamlined Window Manager (WM). We're going to get you up to speed on what each of these actually are, some reasons why you'd want to choose a WM over a DE, as well as some of the options you have among the Window Managers out there. Catch us after the break to join the age-old battle of choosing your GUI.

CHICAGO (AP) ? When Tom Sermanni shook hands with Pia Sundhage after her last game as coach of the U.S. women's soccer team, he should have asked her for a few tips.
Sermanni was hired Tuesday to replace Sundhage, who led the Americans to back-to-back Olympic gold medals and their first World Cup final in 12 years. Sermanni has spent the last eight years as Australia's coach, taking the Matildas to the quarterfinals of the last two Women's World Cups.
"He has the knowledge, experience and vision to take on the challenge of keeping our team at the top of the world," U.S. Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati said in a statement. "He has a tremendous passion for the game, knows the American players, understands our system and knows the process of preparing a team for a World Cup tournament."
Sermanni, a 58-year-old originally from Glasgow, Scotland, has spent much of the last 20 years in Australia, where he is credited with transforming the Matildas into one of the world's top programs. In addition to their quarterfinal appearances at the 2007 and 2011 World Cups, the young Australians won the 2010 Asian Women's Cup. Their runner-up finish at the same tournament in 2006 earned Sermanni Asian Football Confederation coach of the year honors.
The Australians are ninth in the world, matching their highest ranking.
Sermanni also coached Australia from 1994-97, leading the Matildas to their first appearance in a World Cup, the 1995 tournament in Sweden. He was among 10 candidates for FIFA's 2011 Women's Coach of the Year.
"U.S. Soccer has always been at the forefront of supporting the women's game, and it's exciting to coach the team in this next chapter of its history," Sermanni said. "After coaching against many of these players for years, I am looking forward to working with an accomplished group of veterans while integrating the numerous talented young players who are itching for a chance to prove themselves."
Sermanni was selected after a five-person search committee, which included Mia Hamm, considered more than 30 candidates. The current U.S. players said they didn't care whether the new coach was male or female, American or foreign-born, so long as the right coach was selected.
"Someone who's good enough, that's all I care about," Abby Wambach said. "Be the person who brings the World Cup back."
Sundhage was 91-6-10 in her five years with the Americans, including a 23-1-1 record this year, and the U.S. was ranked No. 1 in the world for most of her tenure. She resigned Sept. 1 to return to her native Sweden, where she is now the women's national team coach.
"We need a strong person to come in and add to the history that this team, specifically, has created in the last two years," Wambach said. "... This team is scary good, and we need to have someone who can put all the Xs and Os together."
Sermanni has experience coaching young players, which will be key as the U.S. begins integrating its next generation. Though veterans like Wambach, captain Christie Rampone and Shannon Boxx have all talked of playing through the 2015 World Cup in Canada, the next major tournament, there is plenty of depth and talent at the lower levels, too. The U-20 team just won the World Cup, and the U-23 team won both tournaments it played this year.
Sundhage had also begun changing the Americans' style of play. As the game evolves and improves around the world, relying on the advantages it has in size, speed and power is no longer enough for the U.S. Sundhage introduced a Barcelona-style attack that relied on creativity and ball possession, and Sermanni will have to decide whether to continue that or not.
"I'm honored to have this opportunity to work with tremendous players and in a program that has had such a tradition of success," he said.
Sermanni does not take over officially until Jan. 1. Interim coach Jill Ellis will lead the Americans in exhibitions against Ireland on Nov. 28 in Portland, Ore., and on Dec. 1 in Glendale, Ariz., as well as three games that have yet to be announced. Sermanni will observe the U.S. team during those final three games.
A midfielder, Sermanni played professionally from 1971-89 at clubs in Scotland, England, Australia and New Zealand, including Blackpool and Torquay, and scored more than 50 goals. He got into coaching soon after, and has had stints as both a men's and women's coach in Japan, the U.S. and Malaysia, in addition to Australia.

ScienceDaily (Oct. 30, 2012) ? Monkeys shy away from bystanders during copulation, irrespective of the bystanders' gender or rank. The new study, by Anne Overduin -- de Vries and her team from the Biomedical Primate Research Centre in the Netherlands, also suggests that sneaky sex is opportunistic rather than a tactical deception i.e. intentional hiding of sexual behavior.
Their work is published online in Springer's journal, Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology.
Sexual competition is highly prevalent in multi-male, multi-female primate groups and may lead to copulations in the absence of interfering bystanders. What is unclear is whether this avoidance of bystanders, so-called sneaky copulation, is the result of tactical deception or more simply chance encounters when competitors are absent.
The authors observed the sexual dynamics of a group of 27 long-tailed macaques living at the Biomedical Primate Research Centre in the Netherlands. They looked at which individuals put others off sex and whether this inhibition was linked to the bystander's interfering behavior, sex, or rank. They also observed whether the monkeys adjusted how often they solicited copulation depending on the presence of potentially harassing bystanders. Lastly, the authors were interested in whether those involved in sneak copulations separated themselves from the rest of the group intentionally in a tactical way.
They found that both males and females can harass copulating partners; both inhibit the sexual behavior of their group members. Moreover, both sexes adjusted their own sexual behavior by soliciting copulations less often in the presence of potentially disrupting bystanders. These bystander effects express male-male competition and female-female competition, both of which are important factors in the sexual dynamics of long- tailed macaques.
In terms of the motivation behind sneaky copulations, the authors found no evidence of tactical deception. Rather, it appears that long-tailed macaque males and females copulate sneakily because they exploit the peripheral position of non-alpha males i.e. mate with males positioned on the outside of the group.

Microsoft knows that Windows Phone 8 is only as successful as its apps. To that end, it's blowing the doors open in terms of major app support. It's not only promising a Windows Phone version of Pandora Radio for early 2013, it's offering ad-free listening for the first year -- how's that for bonus content? On top of this, Microsoft is vowing a slew of games that had previously only been available in the Android or iOS camps, including Asphalt 7, Cut the Rope, Temple Run, Urbanspoon and Where's My Water.

NEW YORK (AP) ? Microsoft launched a new version of its Windows Phone software with broad support from smartphone makers, cellphone carriers and app developers as the software company tries to position new Windows gadgets as strong alternatives to Apple and Android devices.
The company also promised to address one of the chief shortcomings with Windows Phone: the dearth of third-party applications relative to offerings for Apple's iPhone and devices running Google's Android system.
Windows Phone 8 is the successor to Windows Phone 7, which launched two years ago but has had little traction in the market. The new software will run on more powerful phones with flagship models coming from Nokia, Samsung and HTC. Together, they'll launch eight Windows Phone 8 smartphones before the year is out, starting this weekend overseas and later in November in the U.S.
"People all over the world are about to fall in love with Windows Phones," Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said at the Windows Phone 8 launch event in San Francisco on Monday.
Microsoft said it will also catch up in offering third-party apps. There are 120,000 applications available for Windows Phone, but some apps that are popular on other systems are notably missing from Windows Phone because it can be hard to get developers interested in writing programs for a small number of smartphones.
Microsoft is patching some of those holes soon: Microsoft vice president Joe Belfiore said Internet radio service Pandora is coming to Windows Phone 8, along with games such as "Where's My Water?" Soon, he said, 46 of the 50 most popular smartphone apps will be available.
The company is also releasing an app for Skype, the Internet calling service it owns. The Skype app available for Windows Phone 7 was an unfinished, or "beta" version. The new Skype app will run in the background, listening for incoming calls without placing any drain on the battery, Belfiore said.
Microsoft scored a big endorsement from Verizon Wireless, the largest cellphone carrier in the U.S. It will carry three Windows Phones this holiday season, including its first Nokia phone in many years. No. 2 AT&T Inc. and No. 4 T-Mobile USA will also carry Windows Phones from Nokia and HTC, leaving only No. 3 Sprint Nextel Corp. out.
Verizon executives have said that they want to see a viable "third ecosystem" alongside Apple's iPhone and Google's Android. Having more potential partners to work with provides the carriers with more leverage against each one and would make them less dependent on the whims of Apple and Google.
Microsoft released Windows 8 for desktops, laptops and tablets last week. That event was devoid of surprises, as Microsoft needed to work with hundreds of partners such as computer makers ahead of time. With smartphone software, the number of partners is much smaller, so Microsoft was able to save some details for Monday's launch event.
For example, Belfiore revealed that Windows Phone 8 will come with a "Kid's Corner" feature. If enabled, kids will be able to start up the phone from the lock screen, gaining access to apps and games that the phone's owner has designated as safe for them. Belfiore brought his three children on stage to demonstrate the feature. Actress Jessica Alba lent star power to the event, endorsing Kid's Corner as a "busy mom."
Owners will also be able link apps to their lock screen, giving them at-a-glance information such as sports scores.
Windows 8 for computers has borrowed its look from Windows Phone 7, presenting applications not as icons but as "Live Tiles," which can be animated with data from the application. For instance, the "Pictures" tile shows a slideshow.
The live tiles and the distinctive user interface remain Microsoft's biggest selling points for Windows Phone. In terms of third-party applications and the features of the phones, it's mostly playing catch-up to the iPhone and Android.
Microsoft will be emphasizing the consistent look across devices in a massive advertising campaign that will talk not just about its new software, but its venture in hardware manufacturing. On Friday, Microsoft released its first tablet computer, the Surface.
"Between Windows 8, Microsoft Surface or Windows Phone 8, you won't be able to turn on the TV or open a magazine without seeing a Microsoft Windows ad," Ballmer said.

A reminder that with Hurricane Sandy bearing down on the East coast of the U.S., Google recently made the decision to cancel its "Playground" event, originally scheduled for later today.
A T-Mobile event, also planned for today, has been called off too.
Google's Android event was expected to bring the official announcement of a new Nexus phone, the LG Nexus 4, and new high-res Nexus tablet, the Samsung Nexus 10. Both devices were expected to go live with Android 4.2, which was to be unveiled at the same event. But it looks like we'll have a little longer to wait for these devices -- we'll probably hear more about a rescheduled event in the coming days.
In the meantime, there's plenty of non-Android news today for you multi-platform mobile fans. Our sister site wpcentral.com will be live from Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 launch event in San Francisco later today.
If you're expecting Sandy in the next day or so, stay safe and keep 'em charged. We'll see you on the other side.

ScienceDaily (Oct. 29, 2012) ? Opsins, the light-sensitive proteins key to vision, may have evolved earlier and undergone fewer genetic changes than previously believed, according to a new study from the National University of Ireland Maynooth and the University of Bristol published October 29 in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) .
The study, which used computer modelling to provide a detailed picture of how and when opsins evolved, sheds light on the origin of sight in animals, including humans. The evolutionary origins of vision remain hotly debated, partly due to inconsistent reports of phylogenetic relationships among the earliest opsin-possessing animals.
Dr Davide Pisani of Bristol's School of Earth Sciences and colleagues at NUI Maynooth performed a computational analysis to test every hypothesis of opsin evolution proposed to date. The analysis incorporated all available genomic information from all relevant animal lineages, including a newly sequenced group of sponges (Oscarella carmela) and the Cnidarians, a group of animals thought to have possessed the world's earliest eyes.
Using this information, the researchers developed a timeline with an opsin ancestor common to all groups appearing some 700 million years ago. This opsin was considered 'blind' yet underwent key genetic changes over the span of 11 million years that conveyed the ability to detect light.
Dr Pisani said: "The great relevance of our study is that we traced the earliest origin of vision and we found that it originated only once in animals. This is an astonishing discovery because it implies that our study uncovered, in consequence, how and when vision evolved in humans."

Each day our customer service team gets hundreds of emails from customers. These customer service emails range from the most basic username and password reset questions to the most complex technical server support requests and troubleshooting cases. Some cases are easy and quick. Others take time and effort as our customer service team embarks on a journey to find a solution.
Regardless of the customer, our team is dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience to each customer by helping each one know that they matter to us and that we will roll out the red carpet for them. But to do that, you have to know where you want to go.
As a team we have vision. We all believe in the best service experience for our customers. We see our customers as a life-long customer, not just a single sale. This means taking whatever time is needed to make sure we take care of the customer.
Russell wasn?t the top customer service rep on the team, numbers-wise. But he received more raving customer service reviews than anyone else did, by far. He wasn?t the most technical, the most knowledgeable, or the fastest in customer service. But there?s one thing he did the best. He was the best at helping customers understand that they were a team. Together they were going to find the solution.
No matter what had happened, Russell never began the interaction with what was done wrong. He never vented his frustration to the customer. If he ever ran into a wall, he would get back to the basics with the customer, explain what he wanted to do, and how he hoped to get there. He enlisted the customer on the journey to the solution.
Today?s customers expect a battle every time they have to work with customer service. And that?s our fault. We?ve done a very good job at showing customers that we don?t care about service. If the number of customers venting their frustrations online is high, your number of loyal customers will be low.
We approach service by forcing customers through countless hoops, secretly hoping that they?ll drop off from our phone system (IVR) maze before they actually land in a queue to talk to a real human being. When they finally do, red tape, ?policies?, and other gotcha?s are littered along the way to keep the customer from ever arriving at their desired solution.
We need to step back and evaluate our customer service systems, processes, and practices. Are they fostering and encouraging customer collaboration? Are they promoting solutions to customer problems? As we embark on a journey with the customer ? which is much more likely to result in the outcome you want, we?ll begin to develop better customer relationships. The customer of relationships that allow customer service to build customer loyalty.

LAS VEGAS (AP) ? It's people like Paul Prekop who make Nevada a maddeningly difficult state for President Barack Obama to lock down, and who give Republican Mitt Romney hope that there's a route to the White House even if he loses the big prize of Ohio.
Prekop, 54, said he benefits from a union contract in his job as a casino craps dealer. He credits Democrats for the stock market's four-year rise. And he's grateful that Obama's health care law lets him keep his young-adult son on his insurance plan.
"I'm not really a big Romney fan," he adds.
So, did Prekop help re-elect the president when he voted early on a gorgeous afternoon in a northwest Las Vegas suburb on Thursday? No.
"We just need a change," he said, explaining his vote for Romney. "I'm scared of Obama the next four years, the socialistic things he's into."
If Prekop was swayed by the avalanche of anti-Obama ads on Las Vegas TV stations, perhaps it's understandable. No region in America has seen more presidential campaign commercials. Last week alone, Romney's campaign and its allies spent $3.6 million on Nevada commercials, while Obama and his supporters spent $2.7 million.
Interspersed with the hard-hitting presidential ads are even harsher commercials for the state's fiercely contested Senate race and House contests. Some strategists in both parties say the endless flood of TV ads, phone calls and mailings may cancel out each other, making door-to-door voter turnout efforts more vital than ever.
"I see tons of TV ads. I just ignore them," said Juanita Sowell, 50, a college administrative assistant who joined about 13,000 others to see Obama at an outdoor rally in Las Vegas on Wednesday. Several said they no longer answer their phones, to avoid campaign pitches.
Romney also campaigned in Nevada last week, making stops in Reno and Henderson.
The flood of spending speaks to Nevada's potentially crucial role, even though it draws a fraction of the national attention devoted to Ohio.
If Romney wins North Carolina, Virginia, Florida and Ohio, then Nevada could be the final state to put him over the top. The same role might be played by Colorado, Iowa, Wisconsin or New Hampshire.
And if Obama wins Ohio and Wisconsin, then Romney still could claim the White House by winning Nevada and those other four competitive states.
If Nevada's importance is clear, its political landscape is quirky.
A sizeable Mormon population co-exists with the strip clubs, casinos and "Sin City" legacy of Las Vegas. Obama is counting on big margins from Latinos ? who make up 27 percent of the state's population ? and from labor unions, anchored by Las Vegas' hotel and restaurant workers.
But Nevada has the nation's highest unemployment rate, 11.8 percent. And the state was clobbered by the collapse in home values, with many thousands of borrowers owing more than their houses are worth. Romney lays these and other economic woes at Obama's feet.
"Can you afford four more years of doubling of the gasoline prices you're paying?" Romney asked a cheering crowd in Henderson last week.
If Nevada's struggling economy is Romney's biggest hope, the state's dysfunctional Republican Party may be his biggest worry.
Earlier this year, followers of defeated GOP candidate Ron Paul essentially took over the state party, forcing Romney and other mainstream Republicans to build separate operations to reach voters.
By contrast, Democrats have a proven voter-turnout operation here. Obama won Nevada by 12 percentage points in 2008, and campaign workers have been in the state ever since. Their efforts are combined with those of Senate Majority Harry Reid, a veteran of squeezing out tough wins in the state.
"With the millions of dollars from special interests flooding Nevadans' TV, phones, and mail boxes, eventually you hit a point of diminishing returns," said Obama campaign spokesman Ty Matsdorf. "Our organization is so important because a neighbor-to-neighbor conversation can cut through all the advertisements out there and show voters what is at stake."
As of Friday, roughly one-fourth of Nevada's voters had cast their ballots, and Obama seemed to have an early voting edge. About 46 percent of the ballots were cast by registered Democrats, and 36 percent by Republicans.
Republicans say such statistics can be misleading, however. "We know Republicans vote later in the process, and we're right where we want to be," said Romney campaign spokesman Mason Harrison. "We always knew the race would be neck and neck."
Obama tells voters everywhere that the U.S. economy is slowly coming back. It's a tough sell in Nevada. But the president got a smidgen of help last week during a newscast on the Las Vegas Fox TV affiliate. "Foreclosure Rates Plummeting," was the headline on a report saying Las Vegas now ranks 25th in that category among metropolitan regions.
At the early balloting site where Prekop voted last week, however, he wasn't the only Nevadan rejecting the president's pitch.
"We need to get rid of Obama, he's terrible," said Mike Spiel, 65, a retired police officer. "The economy hasn't gotten any better. He's not kept his promises."
Rajka Shugarman, 32, a Canadian-born naturalized citizen, was almost giddy in casting her first vote in a U.S. presidential race. She said she will be crushed if Romney loses.
Obama's warnings that Romney would limit women's health and reproductive options are nonsense, she said. "It's bizarre, it's ridiculous" for such issues to dominate presidential campaigns, she said.
Her husband, Alan Shugarman, said he voted for Obama in 2008, and is deeply disappointed that the president didn't improve life for middle class people.
"He had the opportunity to make the change when he had the Congress," Shugarman said, alluding to the first two years of Obama's term, when Democrats controlled the House and Senate.
Obama's team is counting on getting more voters like John Gregory, 71, to the polls. "I think he should get four more years," the former Chicago police officer said, because he inherited such a huge economic mess.

This might be worth explaining. No I?m not booked in for hysterectomy regardless of symptoms on my 50th birthday. But if I need one, I?m running to the doctor and adding my name to the list.
I see lots of women who have shocking bleeding and discomfort from problems with the uterus that start around the perimenopause. If I so much as mention the word hysterectomy, they go white and say they?ll do anything but that!
So here?s a word in favour of the hysterectomy for people who have issues with fibroids, adenomyosis, recurrent CIN and even heavy bleeding simply from not ovulating;
First it isn?t the major surgical procedure that left your grandma bed ridden for months and never the same again. It?s done by keyhole surgery and the recovery is very quick. They leave in your tubes and ovaries. Of all the surgical procedures my patients have, this one would most often get the ?best thing I ever did? verdict. When needed, a hysterectomy can be life saving.
Hysterectomy lowers your risk of ovarian cancer and eliminates your risk of uterine, endometrial and cervical cancer. It permanently solves your bleeding issues. And finally it puts oestrogen only HRT on the table if you need it for the devastating symptoms of menopause. And 70 per cent of women have at least one symptoms of menopause- be it hot flashes, mood swings, insomnia, sexual problems, feeling vague?.
Usually with HRT you need both oestrogen and progesterone (combined HRT). That?s because despite the fact that it?s oestrogen that does all the heavy lifting in terms of your symptoms, if you give oestrogen without progesterone, you risk endometrial cancer. The problem with adding in progesterone is that you do see this tiny increase in breast cancer and heart disease. That came out in the Womens Health Initiative in 2002. Oestrogen only therapy LOWERS the risk of both (unless you?re in your 70s when the heart disease risk becomes problematic but few women need HRT for hot flashes by the time they hit 70).
Even with a uterus in, I?m going for HRT if I hit menopause with a bang. I?ve seen too many beautiful women have their lives made uncomfortable by hot flashes and the other symptoms of menopause but deny themselves the very best treatment available because they?re worried about the breast cancer risk of HRT. The increased risk from being on HRT is smaller than from having a glass of wine a night or from being overweight.
We use small doses and start as soon as possible after the start of your symptoms and we wouldn?t leave you on it for ever. But HRT works and more women should put it back on the table as an option. It seems several peak bodies agree and this year the North American Menopause Society, the Endocrine Society, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, all put out a statement saying HRT is safe and effective and the statement was then endorsed by another 12 top medical societies in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
My story is not meant to generate titillating headlines but get women talking about menopause and? having more options to deal with it and less guilt and fear. Watch the Sunrise segment HERE and read the herald article by Jo Cassamento HERE

You can use mobile marketing as either a main or an alternative source of income. These tips will educate you more on mobile marketing in order for you to have success.
If your business decides to have a mobile app, be sure that your users will appreciate using it. If your app does not have a purpose, no one will download it.
Be sure that the mobile marketing campaign that you use is compatible with different types of platforms. It?s important to make sure that your campaign is equally compatible across all of them. Scripting, in particular, can vary considerably between devices, and your marketing campaign has to address that variance.
TIP! Work to please your customers. Your mobile marketing campaign will not get very far if it doesn?t take your customers? desires into account.
Create a campaign that is picture-to-screen. This is a technique that allows customers to send in their own custom photos that involve a current topic or product. Using a short code, they can then forward the photograph to a digital screen, which instantly displays the picture. These photos can be displayed on a single television or multiple digital billboards.
Just like your regular business website, your mobile site should be search engine optimized. It is essential that you do SEO through Google since the vast majority of mobile search is being conducted through the Google system.
When creating content for your mobile marketing campaign use short easy to understand messages. Make sure they know your message and can absorb it, as quickly as possible!
TIP! Use your website to its full potential. When you advertise your mobile application on your website, you will increase your traffic.
You want to make your marketing emails mobile friendly. This increases their effectiveness. Make sure your pages look great on a mobile machine and that they can use phones numbers instantly simply by clicking on them. As time goes by, the number of people checking e-mail from mobile devices is only increasing, so it?s smart to design e-mails for this audience.
Many business owners don?t realize how easy it is to create apps. Making your own customized app for your customers is a breeze. Your business could always offer its own special app and really take your mobile marketing to the next level. There are a lot of choices available here.
The use of mobile friendly maps will help attract local customers. By including maps, customers can look up your location quickly from their phone.
TIP! You can begin by constructing a proper database. Refrain mindlessly adding phone numbers in your marketing database.
You can develop a mobile application as a part of your mobile marketing plan. The app should contain pertinent information about your niche, and should be set up in a manner that entices people to want it on their phones. Applications that give helpful tips and information are very popular. Use the app to advertise your business through links. You can also profit from selling your app to others.
Recruit friends to test your marketing methods before trying them on the public. For an unbiased opinion, hire a professional.
Even though many people that are using their phones for the Internet text, not everyone will know what the abbreviations mean. Any lack of understanding in your advertisement will yield unfavorable results both short and long term.
TIP! To achieve the highest success rate in your mobile marketing campaigns, only send the most valuable offers that you have available. If you do this, then customers are much more likely to find your offers interesting and respond to them positively.
Market your events through several channels to increase attendance. For example, you can mail a flyer that tells customers about an upcoming event such as a 75% off sale. Try sending an email the week prior to the event with a text reminder about an hour prior to the sale.
If you make forwarding your ad simple and attractive, your recipients will be far more likely to share your information. Before you send out your promotion, make certain that it will be easy to forward. To give them a little encouragement to forward it, offer an incentive to the one who receives the ad.
Multimedia Messaging Service can be used to distribute coupons and promotions to new and existing customers. You can send promotional codes in the coupons. A tracking code can be added and linked to your mobile-friendly website. You can use coupons to incentivize and reward loyal customers and attract new ones.
TIP! When you are thinking of adding SMS to a mobile marketing strategy, let people opt in or out and tell them how many texts you?re going to be sending out. Since SMS and cell phones are tied closely together, overuse or misuse of the service can make your customers very upset.
To gain customers and expand your brand, use QR codes. Using QR codes lets your customers get instant access to special offers, discounts, and coupons. They are easily captured through a cellphone and they are very easy to use. QR codes allow you to reach out to your customers in an efficient manner, and give them relevant information in a simple way.
A mobile marketing campaign can boost your business and draw in lots of customers, but only if it is entirely compatible with all mobile platforms. Your efforts must work on as many popular devices as possible, or you?ll risk losing customers.
TIP! Invite your mobile customers to communicate with you directly. Continue to solicit customer feedback from those who seem willing to give it.
Mobile marketers that are successful take it slowly and go forward to grow. You should also do this. You can start with a text messaging campaign, expand into using mobile websites, then incorporate mobile apps and eventually deliver videos to mobile devices. Keep progressing and improving your overall mobile marketing campaign. Use everything at your disposal.

It is the hot new way to promote your business, but it will definitely take a good amount of work and commitment. From USA Today?..
?Active design? is the new weapon in the fight against the national obesity crisis. Stairs, open spaces, locating office equipment away from desks are design tools used to get people moving.
The push to reverse the obesity epidemic and promote physical fitness is spilling into design and architecture and beginning to target one of the nation?s most sedentary environments: the office.
?Active design? ? the architectural principle of creating spaces that encourage healthy lifestyles ? is gaining popularity as more cities and companies join the fight and embrace healthy initiatives and ?green? measures.
New York ? the city that banned trans fats in restaurants and the sales of large sugary drinks in cups ? adopted Active Design Guidelines in 2006. That has sparked interest among architects and planners, even on the eve of a deep financial slump. With the help of a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the city is mentoring 14 other cities, including Philadelphia, Tucson, Nashville and Seattle, to improve the built environment to reduce obesity.
?How do you get people moving??, says Rick Bell, executive director of the New York chapter of the American Institute of Architects. ?If exercise and everyday activity is the mantra, how do you, through design, get people to exercise? ? There is a direct relation between the built environment and people?s lifestyles.?
History has proved it. Architecture played a major role in defeating infectious diseases such as cholera and tuberculosis in the 19th and 20th centuries by designing better buildings, streets, clean-water systems and parks.
Today, obesity is the threat. More than a third of American adults, teens and children are obese, or roughly 30 pounds over a healthy weight.

They?re stylish, hip, and original in the sense that if you really want to go against the grain, wearing clothes your parents or grandparents haven?t worn since their teens may do the trick.
